L-A-C Conveyors & Automation are proud to announce that they are accredited CE approved supplier of BS EN 1090 products. This UKAS accredited certificate follows regulation 305/2011/EU of the European Parliament and the Council of 9 March 2011. This was approved on behalf of the Certification Board and be valid until 2021. There was an update in 2018 to the standards companies had to meet to ensure businesses met adequate levels of mechanical resistance, stability, serviceability, and durability. This means L-A-C Conveyors & Automation can continue to manufacture conveyor systems and provide conveyor solutions to their valued customers.
Why do L-A-C Conveyors & Automation need this to manufacture conveyor solutions?
BS EN 1090 for structural and aluminium is a requirement for products to be sold in Europe and that will be installed permanently. All businesses who design and/or manufacture steel or aluminium components must adhere to this standard. A business will receive a logo like the one below, which is an accreditation logo that L-A-C Conveyors & Automation can use to show they’re registered and adhere to the safety standards.
Due to L-A-C working with numerous clients to provide conveyor solutions manufactured from steel, it’s imperative that they can provide accreditation as a standard in order to produce the conveyor systems. There are various benefits a customer can get from L-A-C complying with this regulation. It allows L-A-C to protect itself by providing tangible proof of the identity and traceability of products.
