Here at L-A-C Conveyors & Automation, our offering can be categorised under two key solutions; Gravity roller conveyors and powered roller conveyors. Both ranges can be customised to suit the needs of our clients handling requirements.
Gravity Roller Conveyors
Our simplest and most cost-effective range of roller conveyor solutions, suitable for a number of handling applications. Conveyor systems of this nature are usually used to move trays, slave boards, cardboard boxes, and plastic totes, though have a number of applications in distribution centres and warehouses.
Using the force of gravity to move products means our roller conveyors are simple and cost-effective as no power is necessary for operation. They’re incredibly reliable and durable and can transport a range of products, from lightweight trays to skips weighing several tonnes.
This range is comprehensive and would be suitable for virtually any product needing a conveyor system. However, we are also able to design and manufacture special gravity roller conveyors if our standard units are unsuitable.
To enable us to configure systems that meet your specification, we also manufacture a range of ancillary equipment such as bends, gates, and turntables, all of which can be custom designed and manufactured to suit the product to be conveyed.

Powered Roller Conveyors (Chain Drive)
For mainline assembly or kitting operations, our range of heavy-duty roller conveyors offers a cost-effective solution to automating assembly lines. Used within the manufacturing sector, these solutions provide a robust design and are generally based on our chain-driven powered roller conveyor.
The width of the conveyor and pitch can be customised and manufactured specifically to suit the product being conveyed.
In most instances, there will be stop or transfer positions where an assembly or test operation will be carried out. Zero line pressure or low back pressure conveyors are available where a product may need to queue between processes.
Heavy-Duty Powered Roller Conveyors
Our frameworks are generally constructed from robust mild steel folded sections, but can also be supplied in stainless steel or aluminium. Roller diameters are available from 40mm right up to 200mm. Conveyors can either be belt or chain-driven, subject to the load being conveyed.
Individual loads of up to 8000Kg can be transported on the heaviest of our powered roller conveyors. To facilitate transfers we would usually incorporate turntables or lift up chin transfer devices. For really heavy-duty applications or where access is required in the middle of the product being conveyed, we have a range of twin track conveyors.
