What is SafeContractor?

SafeContractor is an accreditation provided by Alcumus, who are a leading provider of risk management, certification and accreditation services with over 27,000 members.
SafeContractor is designed as a way for service suppliers to prove to new and existing customers that they care and are competent in health and safety.
What does SafeContractor Approved mean?
To achieve the SafeContractor Approved status, a business must prove that they are a safe and responsible company. This involves ensuring that all paperwork is complaint with current legislation and that processes are in place to ensure health and safety is handled in the best way possible.
Why should I use a SafeContractor Approved service supplier?
- SafeContractor approved business do not have to complete multiple pre-qualification questionnaires, saving both the supplier and customer time and money.
- By using SafeContractor, the customer can be assured that their service supplier is committed to sustainable and ethical practices whilst demonstrating that they comply with the up-to-date health and safety standards.
Are LAC SafeContractor Approved?
L-A-C Conveyors & Automation became SafeContractor approved in January 2020 and are really proud to show the world that they are a business with a culture of taking health and safety as a priority, and not something that can be ignored. L-A-C achieved SafePQQ, an extension to the SafeContractor accreditation in August 2020 which demonstrates they are a safe, stable, and ethical business to work with.
L-A-C also have two fully qualified CDM site safety managers which means they can fulfil obligations as principle contractor on construction sites when installing systems such as belt conveyors, roller conveyors, pallet conveyors and robotic pick and place systems.
