In February 2020, LAC Conveyors & Automation became ISO 9001:2015 certified as they experienced explosive growth and welcomed their 25th project design engineer onboard. In August 2020, LAC are pleased to announce that they maintain the certification, having passed their first surveillance audit. Due to COVID-19, the audit was undertaken remotely, however site visits are normally standard.
LAC’s aim was to demonstrate that they are committed to excellence. What makes the ISO 9001 standard extra special is that it is the only standard in the 9000 series that requires certification and means an organisation has met the requirements which define an ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS).
Lauren Cassady, Systems Coordinator at LAC lead the project of acquiring the certification, “This is a great achievement for the LAC team. We can now show that we’ve got what it takes to do bigger scoped projects.”

Regular audits are carried out by Alcumus, to ensure businesses with the certification still have the Quality Management System (QMS) in place, and this Includes providing evidence that the company is complying with the standard.
