Young Freddie Housley has been on the road again since turning 7 recently.

Travelling to Larkhall WSKC near Glasgow where he finished 5th overall. The event was dominated by torrential rain throughout but Freddie managed 3rd, 4th and 1st positions in the heats and learnt so much in how to handle his kart in the wet weather conditions.

Next stop was Glan y Gors in North Wales for a round of the British Championships, finishing in a very creditable 7th place overall on a track that Freddie had never been on before.

This event was followed by racing at Rowrah in Cumbria. Here, Freddie had a clean sweep of wins in all the heats and was victorious in the final too.

With such a gruelling schedule of travelling and racing at such a young age, Freddie also has lots of time off to allow him to recuperate and enjoy life at home. Not only does this give him a well-balanced life it also helps him to prepare mentally and physically for his next races.

So, with a 4 week break under his belt, Freddie will take on the challenges of racing again in the British Championships back up in Cumbria followed up by a race weekend in Cheshire.

Freddie currently stands in 8th place overall in the UK and is hopeful of improving on this over the closing summer months.

Finally, Freddie would like to give his thanks and appreciation for the superb support and encouragement that he has received from Parklands School where he has had his primary education before moving up to Harrington Junior School at the end of the summer holidays.
